The Brazilian is the only player to emerge with any credit from this season, and he was on form again at Stamford Bridge
Liverpool somehow escaped with a point after Chelsea's goal-shy attack again failed in a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge. The game, a meeting of the Premier League's two biggest underachievers this season, was suitably mediocre, but the Blues will wonder how they didn't come away with the win after squandering a host of chances and seeing two goals disallowed.
Reece James and Kai Havertz were both denied after VAR checks, while Havertz and Mateo Kovacic spurned glorious opportunities to give caretaker boss Bruno Saltor a winning start to his reign.
Liverpool, on the other hand, created precious little, and though the result represents an improvement on Saturday's thrashing at Manchester City, they leave having failed to make any notable ground in the race for the top four.

GOAL rates the Reds' players from Stamford Bridge…
GettyGoalkeeper & Defence
Alisson Becker (7/10):
Denied Havertz early and again after half-time, when VAR saved the Reds. Hard to imagine where Liverpool would be without him. His team-mates keep on letting him down, and he has every right to complain.
Joe Gomez (6/10):
Tested Kepa with a 25-yarder but he'll never be Trent Alexander-Arnold. Did OK, especially defensively, but nothing more.
Joel Matip (5/10):
Looked bewildered every time he was put under pressure, especially against Joao Felix. His decline has been both rapid and alarming.
Ibrahima Konate (6/10):
Early goalline clearance to deny Kovacic, but he was a mixed bag otherwise, especially with his distribution.
Kostas Tsimikas (5/10):
Nervy and made far too many errors. Did not take the chance he was given.

Fabinho (5/10):
His form remains a serious worry for Liverpool. Looks a mile off the pace. Denied a goal by Fofana's block.
Jordan Henderson (5/10):
Unable to get near Kovacic, Kante and Co. in midfield. Precious little composure when he had the ball.
Curtis Jones (6/10):
At least played with some composure, and always wanted the ball, but he simply has to back himself in the final third more. Faded fast after half time.

Diogo Jota (5/10):
Unable to make the most of some chances to run at Chelsea's backline, and is nearly a year without a goal.
Roberto Firmino (5/10):
A few promising moments, but none which ever looked like producing a goal or even a chance.
Darwin Nunez (6/10):
One of the few to play with any kind of positivity. His endeavour was not matched by any real quality, however.

Andy Robertson (6/10):
Did OK defensively. No impact going the other way.
Mohamed Salah (6/10):
No impact whatsoever.
James Milner (N/A):
On for final 12 minutes.
Cody Gakpo (N/A):
Unlucky not to start. Couldn't do much off the bench late on.
Jurgen Klopp (5/10):
Rang the changes without real reward. His team is a poor one right now, whoever he picks.
