Manchester United beat Valerenga 3-0 in their latest pre-season friendly on Sunday evening, and Red Devils fans were full of praise for the performance of midfielder Andreas Pereira.
A header just before the interval from Marouane Fellaini had given Jose Mourinho’s men a half-time lead, and Pereira replaced the Belgium international at the break.
With a couple of minutes of entering the field, the 21-year-old picked up an assist as his corner was headed home by Romelu Lukaku – also a half-time substitute.
Pereira showed a number of neat touches and was also taking corners with both feet, showing great confidence with the new Premier League season just a fortnight away.
Man United supporters were quick to have their say on his performance via social media, and while many praised his ability and believe he is a better player than the likes of Jesse Lingard, others even tipped him to have a bigger season than Ander Herrera.
