Lots of Newcastle fans have been reacting to some comments from Steve Bruce, and let’s just say they aren’t buying the manager’s transfer verdict.
Newcastle’s pre-season is gathering pace, as despite all the turmoil off the pitch the Magpies are taking care of business on it.
Bruce’s men swept Hibernian aside 3-1 on Tuesday night, as Joelinton grabbed his first goal for the club. Sean Longstaff and Jamaal Lascelles were also on the scoresheet.
But it’s what took place after the game that has really caught fans’ attention, as Bruce was quizzed on all things transfer related.
He had nothing new to report on the links to OGC Nice starlet Allan Saint-Maximin, but he did say he is hopeful more arrivals are on the way.
“I am still quietly confident we will bring more players in,” the 58 year-old said.
So far, record signing Joelinton is the only new face on Tyneside this summer, and to say the fans are impatient might be underselling it a bit.
Take a look at the Twitter reactions down below, where Bruce’s comments have angered the Toon Army…
