Ibrahimovic has never been the type to shy away from a challenge and may be tempted to step back onto the field if an enticing offer arrives. Former Wrexham star Matt Jansen has suggested that an approach could be made from North Wales.
WHAT MATT JANSEN SAID
Reynolds and McElhenney are determined to make Wrexham a Premier League outfit, with promotion into the Championship currently being sought. More money is expected to be spent this summer, with a stunning swoop for the self-anointed ‘God’ of Swedish football being speculated on.

Jansen told when asked what type of player Wrexham need to be bringing in if a step up into the second tier is taken: “It would probably suit Zlatan Ibrahimovic, although he retired. But money talks and they’ve certainly got it. It would be Hollywood and he’d enjoy it, wouldn’t he?
“But it would certainly be that type, or a big target man like Chris Wood maybe, although he's not going to leave Nottingham Forest. It would all depend on whether they could get the signings that they would need to challenge and whether those players would suit.”
